Robin Yount Louisville Slugger pro model ("P72") bat dating from the 1983-1986 manufacturing period. Graded GU 8 by PSA. The bat, which measures 34.75 inches in length and weighs 32.1 ounces, is not cracked. Excellent use is displayed throughout, including slight checking (grain swelling) on the barrel from repeated ball contact. Yount's uniform number ("19") is written on the knob in black marker. Yount has inscribed the bat in black Sharpie (grading 9/10") on the barrel: "To Jim/Best Wishes/Robin Yount." This bat was used by Yount during the middle portion of his long twenty-year Major League career, all of which was spent as a member of the Milwaukee Brewers. Yount was at the top of his game between the years 1983 and 1986, batting .308, .298, .277, and .312, respectively, during that time span. A two-two time American League MVP and member of baseball's elite 3,000 Hit Club, Yount finished his career with 251 home runs, 1,406 RBI, and a .285 average. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1999, his first year of eligibility. LOA from PSA.
