Dave Parker Louisville Slugger pro-model ("R43") bat dating from the mid 1980s. The cupped-end bat, which measures 35 inches in length and weighs 32.5 ounces, displays excellent use, including ball marks, red bat-rack marks, and an approximate nine-inch crack in the handle. Parker's uniform number ("39") is written in black marker on both the knob and barrel end. The red bat-rack marks suggest that this bat was used by Parker during his four-year tenure (1984-1987) with the Cincinnati Reds. One of the game's top hitters during the late 1970s, Parker won consecutive National League batting titles in 1977 and 1978, and helped lead Pittsburgh to a World Championship in 1979. He retired in 1991 with 339 home runs, 1,493 RBI, and a .290 lifetime average.
