Displayed is the last Topps Mickey Mantle card that was issued after Mantle had completed a great season. Hall of Famer Mantle's numbers declined from '64-'65. He went from 31 home runs to 19. Mickey's average slipped from .303 to .255, and his RBI dipped from 111 to 46. Yet, he is still Mickey Mantle, a 3-time AL MVP, a Triple Crown winner, and a 4-time AL home run leader with 536 round-trippers lifetime. He and Roger Maris became legendary in their chase of babe Ruth's single-season record of 60. The card is a very clean example with near-perfect centering. VG-EX overall.
