Original Type I photo capturing Roger Maris hitting his record-tying 60th home run on September 26, 1961, at Yankee Stadium. Maris’ 60th came at the expense of Baltimore Orioles hurler Jack Fisher in the third inning with two out and nobody on base. The image pictures Maris at the plate in his follow-through swing as he watches the ball sail into the right field stands. Two Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a handwritten notation in pencil describing the scene. The photo (10x8”) displays light edge wear and is in Excellent condition. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
