Original Type I photo capturing the capacity crowd gathered at Yankee Stadium for the first game of the 1926 World Series between the Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals. Taken from the perspective of the left field bleachers, the photo pictures the players warming up prior to the game and also a marching band, which has assembled in foul territory down the left field line. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with the handwritten caption “1st game of 1926 World Series Yankee Stadium Card vs. Yanks.” The photo (9.25x7.5”) displays a diagonal crease in the upper right quadrant and is in Very Good condition overall.
