Original Type I photograph capturing Charles Lindbergh posing in front of his plane, the "Spirit of St. Louis," just prior to his historic non-stop flight from New York to Paris in 1927. That flight captivated the world and made "Lucky Lindy" an international celebrity. Six Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a handwritten caption, a small, white inventory label, and a piece of brown tape bearing an editorial notation. The photo (8.5" x 6.5") displays numerous light creases throughout and a tiny stain in the lower right quadrant. In Good to Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type I Authentic.
