Vintage photo of Albert Einstein taken at Princeton University during a celebration of his 74th birthday in 1953. The closeup image pictures Einstein as he holds a scale model of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Einstein's birthday was on March 14, and on the following day, when this photo was taken, he granted permission for his name to be associated with the first medical school to be built in New York City since 1897. Ground was broken for the facility in October 1953, and almost two years later, on September 12, 1955, the school welcomed its first class of students. Five Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a handwritten caption, editorial markings, and a piece of brown tape. The photo (6.25x8.25") displays light creasing and a few small, light stains. In Good to Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type II Authentic.
