Superb century-old Spalding Trophy dating from the 1920s. Wood base is painted black, measures 5.5" tall and 8" in diameter at the base. Metal trophy portion stands an additional 15" tall - totaling just over 20" - and includes a large ball with Spalding Trophy on it, atop which sits a player swinging the bat. Sturdy specimen has Dieges & Cust plate at base with a few small chips to the paint and tarnish present on the top. Note that the bat displays a crack but we have determined that it's still the original piece, not repaired or reconditioned. Also, the 2.5" diameter round plate on the base does not have any recipient's name engraved. Solid EX condition.
