Very rare Charles Robertson single-signed baseball. Autograph Chas. C. Robertson is just off the sweet spot of this Official National League (Feeney) ball and is inscribed with date Sept 22, 1977 also in the hurler's hand in blue ballpoint ink. Robertson made his debut in 1919 for the ill-fated Chicago White Sox, and was the last living member from that team upon his passing in 1984. He is best remembered for throwing a Perfect Game in just his fourth career start, the first perfecto ever by a road pitcher, on April 20, 1922 vs. the Detroit Tigers at Navin Field. Includes JSA LOA, noting that additional writing has been removed from the North Panel.
