Near-complete run of Kentucky Derby programs from 1990 to 1999, missing only 1991 and 1997 for completion. What makes this collection unique is that each program has been signed on the interior by EVERY jockey for EVERY Derby race (with the exception of just one signature for one race) for a total of 141 signatures. (The only signature missing is that of Kent Desormeaux in the 1999 program; a stamped facsimile appears instead.) All the signatures, scripted in a variety of inks (grading 9/10 on average), appear on or next to the jockey's respective horse listing for the Derby race. Because many of the jockeys rode in multiple Derby races, some signatures are represented more than once. Only the top jockeys earn the right to ride in the Derby, so it is not surprising that many of those whose signatures are featured here are now members of various racing Halls of Fame. Unless otherwise noted, all the programs are in Excellent condition and measure approximately 8.25x10.75".
