Historic and quirky combo features an autographed 1929 Detroit Tigers baseball as well as a real photo postcard of umpire Roy Van Graflan, who was at home plate during the famous "Called Shot" game in Game 3 of the 1932 World Series. Ball is Official American League (Barnard) with auto stamp on side panel, and about 16 autographs are present featuring Hall of Famers Charles Gehringer, Bucky Harris, and Harry Heilmann. Unfortunately, the Babe Ruth "signature" across the sweet spot is secretarial. The card contains a photo of Van Graflan with printed Merry Christmas inscription and writing on back with Dec 19, 1939 postmark. As it relates to the Called Shot, Van Graflin was quoted as saying that Ruth looked over to the heckling Cubs bench and said, "Let him put this one over and I'll knock it over the wall out there."
