Original Type I photograph picturing the crowd gathered outside the offices of The Sun newspaper (New York City) following the Titanic disaster in 1912. The company posted several bulletin boards to convey the information it had so far. Many of the boards are clearly visible, some of which read as follows: "1500 Missing After Titanic Foundered," "Only 866 Mostly Women Reported to be Safe," and "List of Survivors Coming by Wireless." Three Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a handwritten caption and various editorial markings and labels. The photo measures 6.75x4.75" and displays tiny corner chips. Very Good to Excellent condition.
