Original Type I photograph of Hall of Fame second baseman Johnny Evers as a member of the Chicago Cubs in 1909. The splendid image captures Evers at the plate during batting practice prior to a game as two of his teammates look on. Three Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with a few additional editorial markings. Although no year is listed, the uniform style shown here was used by the Cubs only in 1909.
