Today's trivia question - who won the first ever ABA Championship? Gold star if you said the Pittsburgh Pipers - led by Connie Hawkins - who accomplished the feat in 1967-68 before moving to Minnesota at the end of the season. One year later, however, they returned to the Steel City in '69 before folding for good three years later. Light blue top has orange, white, and blue piping, snap front with Pipers logo on left chest, ABA Champions 1967-68 patch on left, team name sewn on back in individual orange-on-white tackle twill lettering. Number 15 is on the left sleeve in all-orange tackle twill; likely from the '69-70 campaign, that would have made this the possession of Lonnie Lynn and/or Bill McGill, who both wore the number that season. Slight stain on the Pipers patch, Rawlings size 46 and wash tags inside and very well preserved; a superb display piece.
