Vintage 1894 Stanford Football team card was issued in 1931 by Luce's Press Clipping Bureau. This particular card was sent to player Paul Downing and has a letter written on back indicating that it was from the Herbert Hoover White House reunion. Unfortunately, glue and paper residue from a scrapbook has obscured much of the writing, though the words "reunion" and "White House" are untouched. Measures 5x7" with some creasing from water damage at top, card presents VG-EX overall and printed caption indicates that it was from a clipping from the Pittsburgh Sun-Telegraph dated November 5, 1931, with a separate caption indicating the vintage of the team photo at top.
