Original Type I photograph picturing a throng of people waiting outside the offices of the White Star Line in New York City for news of the Titanic disaster. The sinking of the Titanic was one of the greatest maritime disasters of all time and as one can see in this photo, people, especially those who had friends or family on board, were anxious for any information they could get. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with handwritten editorial notations. The photo measures 6.5x4.75” and displays a few tiny border creases. EX.
