An original 20th century boxing cabinet card of George Gardner, who often has his name misspelled as Gardiner. He was an Irish born fighter who compiled 68 documented fights between 1897-1908. He was the first undisputed Light Heavyweight Champion of the World in 1903. He was also the World Middleweight Champion in 1901. He was considered the #1 ranked fighter many times during his career and is considered the top light heavyweight fighter of all time. The cabinet measures 7.5x5.5". It was produced by Elmer Chickering in Boston. It is in GD-VG condition with some corner rounding and typical age related wear.
