An original 20th century boxing cabinet card of George Gardner. Gardner often has his name misspelled as Gardiner.  He was an Irish born fighter who compiled 68 documented fights between 1897-1908. He was the first undisputed World Light Heavyweight Champion of the World in 1903. He was also the World Middleweight Champion in 1901. He was considered the #1 ranked fighter during many times during his career and is considered the top Light Heavyweight fighter of all time. The card measures 9x6" and was produced by Harry Klink. This particular card was made specifically for publication and was to be returned to Harry Klink after use. The card is in GD condition with some staining near bottom and six (6) tack holes. A great card of one of history's best pound-for-pound fighters.
