Long before the current NHL franchise relocated from Colorado to New Jersey in 1981, an Eastern Hockey League team bore a similar name as the Jersey Devils. Rare and amazing jersey dates from the 1960s and is hammered with game use from that original iteration of a team named after the Jersey legend. Intricate crest depicts a devil over the outline of the state with Gerry Cosby size 44 tag in collar. String tie is present in this white sweater with red and black trim, with number 10 in all-red on shoulders and back. Heavy use displayed with spotting in areas, two small tears on the crest itself and one just to the right are team-repaired, along with another small fix on bottom of back. Puck and stick marks throughout the jersey complete the picture of New Jersey hockey history from the era before the current franchise claimed three Stanley Cup titles.
