Collection of 13 government postcards, each individually signed on the reverse by the following Hall of Fame players: Mel Ott, Hugh Duffy, Rabbit Maranville, Jim Bottomley, Ed Walsh, Mickey Cochrane, Arky Vaughan, Earle Combs, Ray Schalk, Eddie Collins, Frankie Frisch, Al Simmons, and George Sisler. The postcards of Ott, Duffy, Maranville, Bottomley, Walsh, and Cochrane have each been encapsulated by PSA, with the signatures certified as "Authentic." The signature of Mel Ott has also received a numerical grade of MINT 9. All the signatures have been scripted in either blue or black fountain pen with the exception of Schalk (pencil). Signatures range from 6/10 to 10/10, averaging averaging 8/10. All the cards are postmarked 1948 and originate from the same collector, whose self-addressed name is written in pencil on the front. Three (Collins, Bottomley, and Cochrane) have been personalized to the recipient (Stephen), while a few others feature salutations or a brief handwritten note. Each postcard (5.5x3.25"), with the exception of Duffy, Combs, and Frisch, displays a small area of adhesive residue on the front (mailing side) from having once been mounted in an album. All also display light, scattered toning and a few small creases. The Ott, Duffy, Cochrane, Simmons, and Combs cards are also affected by several staple holes. Condition ranges from Good to Very Good overall.
