Kicker’s helmet worn by Cleveland Browns’ Lou Groza, the player who defined Cleveland from 1946-67. “The Toe” earned his nickname when a back injury forced him to become a place kicker. Especially remembered for kicking the winning field goal in 1950 NFL title game. He was the last of the original Browns to retire. 10 years before his death, Groza was awarded the Grindstone Award (25th winner) and Berea’s Outstanding Citizen award in 1990. The Browns honored his retired #76 by renaming the Brown’s headquarters address as 76 Lou Groza blvd. Orange helmet, Riddell RK4, was well used.
