Exquisite bronze medal from the 1988 Games of the XXIV Olympiad held in Seoul Korea awarded to Kim Gallagher of the U.S. in the women’s 800m race. The events are marked and remembered for Ben Johnson beating Carl Lewis in the 100m dash. The gold medal was taken away from Johnson two days later after he tested positive for steroid use. “Flo Jo” (Florence Griffith Joyner) won four medals in these events.
