Circa 1940s Japanese Menko military cards with original display box. The box contains 49 of 50 original unopened packs, cards are packaged in a delicate paper wrap with outstanding pilot and fighter jet graphics. The base of the box is plain cardboard, display box top has wonderful colorful drawings of a Japanese pilot, fighter jets, what appears to be a ground mortar infantryman, city buildings, and "explosions." The box top and three of the sides are in Excellent condition. Unfortunately, the remaining side is in poor condition with a large chunk missing and a corner tear with and a 1.5" edge tear reaching into one of the untouched sides. A rare and unusual piece.
