Monte Irvin played for the Giants for seven seasons, was named to the 1952 All-Star Game and won a World Series with them in 1954. After an ankle injury, he spent his final season with the Cubs in 1956, finishing with a .304 career batting average, 145 doubles, 137 home runs and 688 RBI during his 18-year career.
