The Baltimore Orioles defeated the Cincinnati Reds 4 games to 1 in the 1970 World Series. They had lost the 1969 Series to the upstart New York Mets, but they rebounded against Cincinnati. The 1970 World Series was the last to be played entirely in the daytime. It was the first to include games on artificial turf (Games 1 and 2 at Cincinnati) and was also, the first World Series to have an African American umpire - Emmett Ashford. The Orioles' Brooks Robinson was the Series MVP as he hit .429, broke a World Series record with 17 total bases, and as Total Baseball noted, "He was ungodly at third base." The film is encased in a large canister (14x14"), and it is sponsored by Coca-Cola.
