Throwback helmet and jersey worn by Philadelphia Eagles kicker David Akers on 9/23/07. Beautiful mesh throwback is bright yellow with powder blue shoulders and letters, tagged 07-50 S in collar, Reebok size 50 and MeiGray tags on tail. Number 2 is in blue on front and back, name in blue letters on a plate. As one would expect from a placekicker, the jersey looks barely used but Akers certainly did his job with an amazing eight extra points in a 56-21 trouncing of the Detroit Lions. Helmet is also blue-on-yellow and has number 2 on back with very light use evident except for the face mask, which is nicely dinged. The following season, Akers set an NFL record for points not counting touchdowns with 166 - a mark that still stands.
