Premier sports folk artist George Sosnak combined his terrific skills with a passion for baseball to make special items extraordinary. The north and south panels are devoted entirely to a meticulous recounting of the October 8 Yankees victory over the Brooklyn Dodgers in a 2-0 final. Signed on the side panel by Larsen and otherwise fully enveloped by the spectacular detail and color for which Sosnak's work is known.
