The plain look of this 1982 NCAA Championship Finals ticket stub belies its historic significance as it is from Michael Jordan's famous "The Shot" game and is signed by both Jordan and James Worthy. MJ - in just his freshman year at North Carolina - sank a baseline jumper with 17 seconds left as the decisive blow in the Tar Heels' 63-62 triumph over Georgetown, but it was Worthy's steal on the ensuing possession that sealed the deal. Our consignor's brother met MJ and Worthy on Bourbon Street after the game and had both sign this ticket; the first of this type was sold for $90,000 in May 2021 with only Jordan's signature on it. Signed by Jordan in 6/10 on the front and Worthy in 7.5/10 on the back, which is ideal for display purposes. Tape residue on edges from previous archiving and two minor pieces are on the back. Encapsulated by PSA as Stub Authentic, a spectacular memento from a game for the ages signed by a pair of future Hall of Famers - the perfect storm of basketball memorabilia.
