Though some mystery remains, there can be no doubt that this Type I image features New York Giants Hall of Famer John McGraw. Measuring 4x4", this photo shows McGraw wearing his fielder's glove, photo presents nicely, and verso has ID in pencil and stamps from the Brown Brothers photo service. Though it is correctly encapsulated as PSA Type I, it lists in error that this is a "33 Goudey Image," as no such card exists. It also lists the date as c1910s; though he managed the Giants from 1902-32, his last year as a player was 1906 (of course, it's possible he was practicing with his team as manager). All told, a great vintage shot.
