1907 Wolverine News Co. Detroit Tigers Ty Cobb-Portrait postcard. The piece has been graded and encapsulated by SGC PR 1. Postcard has been used with a one cent stamp and April 20, 1910, Detroit postmark. Front shows Cobb in portrait with his name and position beneath his image. Card has four rounded corners and some paper loss around its edges, surface shows a large, old water stain in the bottom quarter of the right corner. Black ink has bled through from the back near Cobb's cheek. Scattered light wear, small creasing, and ink spotting throughout. The sender of the card has a note on reverse which tells of Cobb signing a big contract for $9000 a year for three years. A rarely offered piece of Cobb memorabilia.
