Elegant trophy pays tribute to 1998 Athlete of the Year Tiger Woods. Measures 14" from base to tip, black wood base stands 8x8x2.5". Seven lucite tubes of varying sizes surround a central tube atop which stood a metal Florida Sports Hall of Fame plate; the plate itself has separated but is included and can easily be reattached. Descriptive lucite plate is engraved, "Dairy Farmers, Inc. Presents 1998 People's Choice Award, Professional Male Athlete of the Year, Tiger Woods." Oddly, Tiger ended the year as the PGA's top-ranked golfer despite not winning a major title, though he was still widely regarded as the best in the sport.
