Fascinating and somewhat mysterious circa early 1910s original, from the camera, one of a kind glass plate negative pictures a large group of fans on the field at the famed Polo Grounds. As the Manhattan stadium was a multi-purpose venue, we are unable to determine the cause of the crowd rush, though perhaps an enterprising historian with a keen eye can make a connection. Measures 7x5" with some minor image loss at the very edges which does not impact presentation. Another legendary find from the extensive Brown Brothers photo archive.
