Terrific untorn ticket from the first Heavyweight Championship Title bout between Jersey Joe Walcott and Rocky Marciano, on September 23, 1952, at Municipal Stadium in Philadelphia. Both pugilists are pictured on this 7.5x2.5" ducat, which is in EX condition with just one small stain at top edge. Walcott dominated much of the fight until a 13th-round haymaker floored the defending champ to end the bout. This fight was significant as it launched Marciano's legend while Walcott's title reign ended and Rocky was the last of his opponents, easily winning the rematch via 1st round knockout.
