“White America’s first black hero.” Assorted documents (10): 1) Contract for four exhibition fights in South America, dated March 20, 1950. 2) Tax exemption documents typed in Spanish, for Louis and trainer, Manny Seamon, issued from Brazil’s, “Ministry of Economy”, dated May 15, 1950 with original airmail envelope which features a photo of Joe Louis. 3) Hotel expense summary. 4) N.B.A. Contestants License, dated “9-30-51”, and records in writing of a victory over “Omelio Agramonte”. 5) Two receipts (one for Joe Louis, the other for Mannie Seamon) for the purchase of licenses in 1948 and 1949 in Missouri. 6) Receipt for license application from the New Jersey State Athletic Comission, 12/16/48, issued to Seamon. 3.75x5”. 7) Boxing license from “The State of Nebraska”, 1/10/49, issued to Seamon. 3x6”. 8) 2 Miami Boxing Commission I.D. cards, 9/30/51, one for Seamon, the other for Freddy Wilson (Louis’ corner man). 3x4”.
