A beautiful depiction of champion racehorse Domino, never framed, with Fred Taral up. The magnificent and extremely rare print by famed artist Henry Stull was copyrighted by Knoedler & Co., 1893, with the image 23x19" contained in a folder 34x30." Included is Sotheby's auction catalogue of October 28, 2004, featuring Domino on the cover standing right with Taral. The Oil painting estimated at $20-$30,000 sold for $48,000.
Domino was extremely fast practically unbeatable at a mile or less. The colt was good looking with a dark coat, two white hind legs and a small star. Domino was both American champion two-year-old of 1893 and Horse of the Year winning 19 of 25 races. The horse was part of the first crop elected to Horse Racing's Hall of Fame in 1955.
