Superb and hard to find 1966 Cincinnati Reds jersey worn by long time center fielder Vada Pinson. Road gray flannel vest-style button-front top has MacGregor size 42 tag in the collar with Set 1 1966 tag inside the front tail along with washing instructions. Number 28 on the front and back and "CINCINNATI" in red-on-blue tackle twill on the front are all original, though the name on the back has been professionally replaced. Displays terrific use, there are a few repairs on the back where the name was restored. Starting with the "Redlegs" in 1958, Pinson played the first 11 of his 18 MLB seasons in the Queen City, earning four All-Star nods, one Gold Glove, and was second on the '66 squad with a .288 batting average.
