These two cards date back to 1894, and show two prominent players for what was then known as the College of New Jersey; it wasn't until 1896 that it was named Princeton University. Augustus Holly (SGC VG 3) was the captain of the team, was related to the Vanderbilt Family and abruptly dies in 1904 due to what was believed an old Football injury; Arthur Wheeler (SGC FR 1.5) was a guard who was elected into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1969. Both cards are in sepia tones, and say "Mayo's Cut Plug Is Always Good, For Chewing and Smoking." Back of cards are black with little scratching, and corners of all cards are a bit rounded.
