Scarce Famous Fights Past and Present Shurey's Edition Bound Volume spanning Vol 1 #1 through Vol 2 #26.  This paper magazine was published in London, England (according to R A Hartley's History & Bibliography of Boxing Books in 1907-08) and was a reissue of the earlier Police Budget Edition (1901-1904).   According to respected historian and author Peter McInnes, the best material was extracted from the Police Budget Edition, reorientated, and reproduced on better quality paper as the Shurey Edition.   It mainly concentrated on the bareknuckle era, but also included articles on then contemporary pugilists, and was profusely illustrated with hand drawings.  The hard covered bound volume has a few pages with old tape repairs and the first and last few pages are becoming brittle.  The front binding is split nearly book length from the inside cover and front page.  Back binding is intact with no splits.  The green outer covered book has a mylar library like book cover. The spine is inscribed Famous Fights 1-2.  Overall very good condition.
