Jack Johnson vs. James Jeffries 1910 Mirror of Life boxing medal from the July 4th 1910 Reno, Nevada fight of the century.  The medallion is made of silver and is hallmarked on the reverse.  It was produced by Vaughtons Ltd of Birmingham, England.  It measures 1 3/4 x 1 1/4" and has approximately half of the original blue enamel at the top of the piece in the Mirror of Life banner.  The medal was available through the Mirror of Life magazine, a British boxing periodical.  The face of the medal has representations of Johnson and Jeffries with the words Memento of Contest July 4, 1910.  The reverse has the words Johnson won in 14 rounds 2 mts 27 secs.  The piece is in overall very good condition with the aforementioned paint loss as the main condition issue.
