After playing for the local minor league baseball team for one season, Frank Selee, manager of the Cubs, purchased Evers's contract and soon made him his starting second baseman. Evers helped lead the Cubs to four National League pennants, including two World Series championships. Circa 1910's image features the future Hall of Famer posed in his famous batting stance and in full uniform. Stamped "Brown Brothers" on the verso along with an "Evers" hand written notation, this fine example is hobby fresh from the Brown Brothers Archive and has been PSA Encapsulated Type I.
