The New York Racing Association and its signature race the Belmont Stakes were the last of the Triple Crown track operators to jump on the official glass bandwagon. The Belmont Stakes began its official series in 1976 with the NYRA Big Apple Glass and this wonderful grouping features all 45 glasses in the collection, including the extremely scarce 1977 glass, the year the great Seattle Slew blazed to victory to become the 10th Triple Crown winner and the only horse to win the trio of classic races undefeated (until Justify duplicated the feat in 2018).
