Nice set of 1963 Chicago Cubs uniform jersey and pants game worn by Nelson Mathews. Classic gray flannel road set includes jersey with Chicago across the chest with number 30 on back in blue-on-red felt. The front of the jersey has been beautifully restored and the number on back has been changed with the bare remnants of Mathews' number 23 still visible. Cub bear logo patch is on left sleeve, strip tag in collar reads 23-4-44, Spalding size 44 and 1963 tagging on tail. Pants have Wilson size 36 tagging along with "32-1962-4-36" - number 32 on the 1962 Cubs was Bob Anderson, so these pants may have been given to Mathews to wear but we cannot confirm. Light-to-moderate wear exhibited, with dirt stains on pants.
