Beautiful photo signed by Levi Jackson, who made history as Yale football's first-ever Black captain. Autograph in blue ballpoint pen also bears "Yale '50" inscription and is in great shape with only a few minor creases noticed. Jackson was the first Black player ever for the Bulldogs, and legend has it that his captaincy was an easy selection for his teammates. He was also given an offer to play for the New York Giants, which would have made him the first Black player in the NFL; he eventually took a job at the Ford Motor Company, where he became the first African American to hold an executive position.
