Historic and very rare cabinet card featuring the newly "rebuilt" Polo Grounds from 1890. When the original was demolished in 1889 to expand the New York City street grid, the new venue was built a short distance away for the increasingly-popular Giants. Measures 8.25x5.25", the big top is clearly visible as black fountain ink describes the scene as "Barnum Show as the Polo Grounds 110th Street New York, April 18th 1890." Also has Brown Brothers stamp as this is another majestic artifact from their extensive archive.
