Circa 1910 original glass plate negative of boxer Joe Jeannette; also comes with a print, although the print is from a bit later, circa 1940s. Considered by boxing historians to be one of the best heavyweights of his era to not hold the championship (due largely to his skin color and the time period), Jeannette is nicely depicted in posed boxing stance. Negative measures 5x7", slight image loss at edge does not impact subject; photo is also 5x7" with pencil ID written on back along with stamps from noted photo collection service Brown Brothers.
