A GREAT set of 1955 Topps baseball. Complete at 206 cards and high quality all the way, this set seems to have been put together with cards from Mr. Mint’s famous Paris, Tennessee, find many years ago – the cards are that nice. Topps raised the stakes in 1955, with a beautiful horizontal format that remains an all-time favorite of collectors. It was a battle to the death with Bowman, and we know how that ended. This great set grades 80% in NM or better condition; virtually every card has a level of gloss that only comes with cards that have rarely been handled. It must be said though, that approx. 40% of the cards are oc, and a few even mc. If you can live with that, you will have yourself a stellar set. Several stars have already been graded by PSA (cards with * are awaiting grades): 2 Williams (N8 MISCUT), 28 Banks (PSA 6), 47 Aaron (PSA 5), 50 Robinson (PSA 6), 123 Koufax RC (EX MT 6), 164 Clemente RC (NM 7), 194 Mays (PSA 6) and 210 Snider (PSA 5). Other stars include: 4 Kaline (NM, oc), 31 Spahn (NM+, oc), 92 Zimmer RC (NM-MT, slight oc), 124 Killebrew RC (NM with very light wrinkle, oc), 152 Agganis RC (NM+, oc), 155 Mathews (NM), 187 Hodges (NM-MT, oc), 189 Rizzuto (NM+), and 198 Berra (VG). MANY more commons are also worth grading. Win this lot and enjoy owning a beautiful ’55 set all at once.

NOTE: The PSA grades have just been entered for the previously missing ones (Williams, Banks, Aaron, Robinson, Mays, Snider).
