One of the finest images we have seen, this one-of-a-kind glass plate negative of Babe Ruth's fastball grip came right from the camera of Charles Conlon - this is the one and only. Conlon did a series of pitcher's grips, this being the best and most valuable; while a quick search yields many results for the Bambino's batting grip, similar images from his early days as a pitcher are far more challenging to come by and this negative will produce photos as clear as the originals. Comes with original envelope with Conlon's writing on it; also, at the very top of the negative, in Conlon's hand is "RUTH (Red Sox) Fast ball." During his six years in Boston, Babe posted an impressive 89-46 record with a 2.19 ERA. Originates from the Brown Brothers archive, the first of its kind photo collection service founded in 1904.
