Historic pair in this autographed hat and ball from the first game ever of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, both of which came from Bubba Trammell who played in that game on March 31, 1998. Black hat has colorful TB logo, New Era size 7 1/2 and Diamond Collection tags in band, inscribed under bill in blue Sharpie, "To Ed, This hat was worn in the first game in Devil Rays History! Bubba Trammell." Ball is an Official American League (Budig) with Trammell's signature in blue ballpoint ink on the sweet spot, inscribed on a side panel, "Used in first game in Devil Rays history, 3-31-98 vs Tigers." Both pieces show use, all writing is in Trammell's hand, ball inscription is slightly faded but autograph presents nicely. Despite appearing in just 59 games, Trammell was third in team homers with 12 for the expansion Devil Rays.
