Stamped "Jostens 10k," this size 9 1/2 gem has a brilliant single diamond set on a red stone with two smaller diamonds on the bezel, which reads: 1984 Olympic Baseball Dodger Stadium. Left shank features a figural batter above the AINBA initials and year, opposite has the Olympic rings, Los Angeles, and year. Engraved inside with the name "Mickey Louis," as this ring was presented to S.C. Johnson Company heir Michael W. "Mickey" Louis, a well known philanthropist who was an important benefactor to the team that boasted such future marvels as Mark McGwire and Barry Larkin. This ring was gifted to our consignor by Mr. Michael W. "Mickey" Louis, himself. Those 1984 games marked the first time that baseball was included as a full demonstration sport, though exhibitions had been held in prior years.
