Tremendous game worn sneakers from the 1996 Olympics used by women's basketball pioneer Sheryl Swoopes. Fittingly made by Nike, these size 11 Air Swoopes are white leather with blue and red suede highlights, "USA 7" embroidered on each heel and gold Nike Swoosh at the ankle. The ankle cuff of each is signed in brilliant black Sharpie and inscribed, "#7 USA '96." The face of the sport during that period, Swoopes captured the first of her three Olympic Gold medals in those 1996 games before going on to become the first player ever selected in the WNBA draft the following year.
